     - Served as ad-hoc member of DePuy Biologics Management Board responsible for all CBAT support of their Product Development initiatives.
     - Developed Cell Biology Strategy for organization after reorganization.
     - Led CBAT contribution to projects in orthopedics including therapies for cartilage, meniscus, ligament, tendon, disc and bone involving combination of device and drug approaches.
     - Served as Biology support member on licensing development committee with DePuy Biologics and Biopharm after licensing of GDF-5.

     - Performed due diligence activities on potential licensing partnerships as required.

Oversaw 14 full-time scientists and up to 12 temporary scientists involved in cell & molecular biology, biochemistry, histology, immunohistology and preclinical research supporting medical device and pharmaceutical development in individual operating companies. Projects supported company initiatives in developing dermal or other (orthopedics, oncology, neurology, cardiovascular) tissue repair therapies (Dermal dressings, tissue-engineered devices, topical pharmaceuticals, antifibrotics, angiogenic factors, etc.). Held overall responsibility for budgets, development, project supervision and strategic planning for the group.
Accomplishments:
     - Led development of this new group from inception in late 1993. Was responsible for hiring, identification of appropriate space, equipment, etc.
     - Developed relationships with approximately 12 different research organizations within J&J involved in treatments of chronic and acute wounds, scarring and fibrosis, orthopedic disorders, etc. which involved assessment of efficacy and due diligence on novel drug or device approaches to treatment
     - Established quarterly review with external consultants and collaborative company representatives
     - Served as biology advisor on a number of Corporate technical teams and review boards
     - Performed due diligence activities on potential licensing partnerships as required
